mapworks outline

mapworks brings culture, community, business and art together in an original winning environment. mapworks gives back to everyone involved, from the artists to the supporters.

When people get involved and understand the nature of its purpose, they talk, write, connect, support and stand back and are grateful to have been apart of and donated to mapworks, but most importantly to have received so much from the rich culture it created.

Furthermore, the artists share their perspective, are challenged to try new things, and experience a project that was inspired by an artist for artists. Through the many dimensions of mapworks, we all end standing beside one another marveling how these many parts came together in such a successful and rewarding way!

mapworks events, art exhibition and book all take on a life of their own...

the book (contingent on support)

mapworks is a book that documents the art done by artists' contrasting representations of landmarks. Each mapworks book theme is represented by the landmarks chosen within a location. The identified landmarks are selected based on unique character, history, nostalgia, symbolism, etc. mapworks book can serve as a business card in which supporters are given acclaim.

the events

mapworks is also a traveling exhibition consisting of multiple artists unique views of significant landmarks. mapworks, in addition, includes openings, sponsorship parties and events. The happenings connect art centers, galleries, museums to the landmarks. The landmarks at times have and can become locations for info investment parties, in effect tying business into the arts. The main event, a soiree, for the financial contributors and many supporters, is a capstone of arts- a span of musical artists, culinary artists, visual artists; an elevation into the grand opening art exhibition, the event: mapworks.
